Pumpkin Carving

A woman was asked by a co-worker,

"What is it like to be a Christian?"
The co-worker replied,

"It is like being a pumpkin. God picks you from the patch, brings you in, and washes all the dirt off of you. Then he cuts off the top and scoops out all the yucky stuff. He removes the seeds of doubt, hate, greed, etc., and then He carves you a new smiling face and puts His light inside of you to shine for all the world to see."

We thought it would be fun to do a little lesson with Ashton tonight and carve some pumpkins. So, we headed to WalMart and picked out a pumpkin for each of the kids. Aaron told Ashton this story while we were carving. Even Jayce got into the fun a little bit. It was great fun!
Getting Started...

Here is Jayce...Just observing.
Getting all of the yucky stuff out. We tried to get Ashton to dig it out with his hands but he's not one to get his hands dirty. He touched it once and went immediately into the bathroom to wash his hands.

Daddy drew the faces on...

The finished product...

Happy Fall!

Flyin' High (at the Tulsa State Fair)

Yesterday it was 2 for 1 day at the fair so we decided to go for a few hours. We ate some fair food, played some games, and Ashton rode a few rides. It was a good time (if not a little expensive!). Here are some pics...

1 Week Old!

WOW! What a week! My little Jayce is already a week old. He is such a precious little guy. You would think when you already have a kid that you wouldn't be surprised at how much you love them but honestly it is amazing. He is definitely different than Ashton- a little more of a challenge in some areas, easier in others but either way I love, love, love him! I hope everyone has seen pics on Facebook and Myspace since I didn't upload his first ones onto here!

I am feeling better day by day. My blood count was super low which is making me so tired 24/7. I am working on getting that fixed with my vitamins and iron (which would have been helpful before the baby was born but what can I say?). I definitely had a much quicker and easier labor this time-3 1/2 hours!- although don't get me wrong, those contractions HURT! Anyways, there's the update from me. I am home and loving my family (and the fact that I am done having kids!!).

Jayce's Room

We finally got the baby's room done up enough to post some pictures. We are going to put some pictures up of him after he is born so there is still some work to do but here is the main idea.

This shelf will have some other things on it as well.

I hope you can tell something about it. I am really pleased with the way it turned out. If you can't tell enough by the pictures you are welcome to come visit and see it in person! :)

It's Official

Jayce Coleton Cabales!

Thanks to everyone for your votes. Coleton was our original name and a large majority of you seem to agree with it so we will just stick with it!
